■Entrance■

We welcome the visitors with seasonal plants

and the "water purification tank" using our symbolic color.

LEATHER LAB TOKYO takes pride in the color of its leather, which cannot be done without complete control of clean water and a water purification facility.

Leather is produced from the blessings of water and nature, together with the Arakawa River running right behind the factory.

We hope the factory will be a place of recreation and relaxation for our customers, staff, and the local community.

■ 1F DYEING AREA ■

After dehairing, lime soaking, and demineralization, animal skin is brought into LEATHER LAB TOKYO.

The skin is then dyed in a device called a "taiko” to be transformed into leather.

In LEATHER LAB TOKYO, we mainly deal with the dying and the basic process of dehydration, softening, and loosening of the leather.

Additionally, we work on other processes, such as filming and stamping.

■ 2F FINISHING AREA■

This floor is mainly used for spray-dyeing with chemicals.

A conveyor is used as an automation system to send the material into the steam dryer, and it is set to dry by the time it comes out from the other side of the floor.

LEATHER LAB TOKYO's varieties of distinctive colors are expressed by combining and mixing a variety of chemical paints developed through our research.

■ 3F DRYING AREA ■

After dyeing, the leather is carefully spread out piece by piece and hung on hooks to dry.

Seeing 1,500 or more pieces of leather dried at a time is quite a sight.

Other than that, there are unique machines, such as a glazing machine that uses glass beads to create luster.

This floor welcomes visitors with wallpaper of leather machines and collaboration works with artists.
